Meditation - Resolving the Inner Identity Crisis

Meditation - Resolving the Inner Identity Crisis
Each individual has progressed in its journey of birth-rebirth and gradually lost the awareness of its real or true self. In the course of the journey, got attached and identified with various different external things forming an outer identity. This took the self far away from itself which has resulted in an emotional crisis resulting in loss of peace & sorrow.
The false external identification built over a time gives birth to an ego. The temporary success along with the recognition leads to the desire to possess some more - bigger & better, which is nothing but greed etc. The slightest criticism of this identity generates anger, constant fear of harm, comparison & hatred thus making happiness dependent on the external possession. The over-identification with acquired possession rather than detachment generates emotions.
Thus this inner identity crisis/ lack of inner clarity is the root cause of emotions like anger, ego, lust, fear, comparison with others, greed, hatred, low self esteem, dependencies etc. that brings us pain, discontent, confusions, complications & problems.
True self-identity is an original, beautiful self, with characteristics of peace, love & happiness that exists within each one of us. This is a centre full of the spiritual resources of all virtues and powers. Identifying with this inner centre, a centre which is imperishable, unchangeable, constant & even eternal, myself identity becomes strong & stable, as compared to many false identities based on external realities like position, wealth & material possessions which are all perishable & subject to various ups & downs.
The process of true self-identification, commonly called meditation, is a healing process/inner correction process of identification to rediscover your true self full of positive emotions and let go of the wrong identifications. Resolving the identity crisis first changes the way our internal & external world looks to us, as a result changing the way it works.
